Saturday 13 May 2000:

The firework blast in Enschede: a terrible event which touched us all. Only when you’re on the spot yourself do you realise the full enormity of the disaster. I’ve been back there a number of times now to do valuations and each time it’s still there staring you in the face. Partly on the grounds of our previous experiences with disaster recovery (Bijlmer air crash and Betuwe floods), we turned to Convoi for the clearance of houses which were partially or fully intact.

The property was taken to Utrecht after the insurance details had been sorted out.
