Lab relocation

The relocation of laboratories is another of Convoi’s specialities. A lot needs to be planned beforehand.

What needs to be taken into account:

• Who will do the packing (lots of glass and the like) and who will do the unpacking?
• What needs to be done with all the chemicals and other hazardous substances ?
• How long should the lab be out of operation ?
• Does any electro-technical or structural work need to be carried out before or after the relocation ?
• Are there any equipment suppliers that need to be involved in the relocation ?
• Should an (internal) health & safety plan be drawn up? Convoi is certified to do this.

Convoi will be able to answer all your questions. At the planning stage we can draw up a health & safety plan, coordinate the planning schedule, and advise on what kinds of packaging to use. We are able to coordinate the transport of chemicals. These substances are packed, reports are drawn up and our own ADR certified drivers will transfer the goods from A to B.

Health and safety come first and foremost. Our staff will be notified beforehand about the regulations. Everyone involved is kitted out with personal protection devices. Ask your Convoi account manager for references.
